Textile Installation - Impresiones del bosque

Impresiones del bosque is a suspended textile installation composed of nine individually dyed fabric panels, each bearing its own title and character while remaining part of a collective organism. The elements — Fuerza, Sabiduría, Transformación, Balanceo, Resonancia, Pulso, Presencia, Origen and Creación — evoke different forces within a living ecosystem. Created through botanical printing using plant matter and traditional natural dyes associated with the Andean region — including molle, chilca, maíz morado and cochineal — the works carry the material imprints of leaves and organic pigments transferred onto natural fibres. Like presences within a forest, the panels exist in dialogue through proximity, movement and subtle variations of transparency and light. Suspended by fine threads, the installation forms a fragile yet resilient network in which each element contributes to a dynamic spatial balance, echoing ecological systems. The work creates an environment rather than an image — a space in which perception slows and viewers enter a contemplative relationship with material presence. Rooted in a spiritual awareness of interconnectedness, the process involves a collaboration with natural forces, proposing a delicate web linking memory, ecology and embodied knowledge across time.
